First post... "The right place at the right time"

After weeks of planning, the guerilla art project has finally been launched. This is a blog to cover the beauty that is guerilla art. All photos are taken by the author, and any interviews conducted are also conducted by the author. No content will be taken from other sites.
On to the first entry...

Week 1, January 5th, 2009.
"Richie Krakdown, Huntington Village, and Red Bull."
This weeks selection of photos comes from a number of trips to Huntington village, a town in western Suffolk county on Long Island. On one of my visits to this small village, I had the pleasure of meeting this man:
He goes by the name of "Richie Krakdown." He's the guitarist for the hardcore punk band "Krakdown" known widely in NY throughout the 80's.

After sitting in Richie's bar for a while discussing the finer points of punk rock, surf rock, graffiti, and skateboarding, he pointed me in the direction of some choice spots to photograph some of the villages finest graffiti.

Off I went. Keep in mind, these photos are taken over the course of about 4 late-night trips to the village, with several close friends all going "Oh, that's cool! shoot that!" and about 15 cans of redbull.

I'll add more tomorrow, or perhaps later tonight. I just wanted to get this first post published.

Peace.
